COLD HANDS HOT BODY is a performance work in development. In this showing it was a conversation accompanied by Mariah Carey’s Touch My Body, Tinashe’s All Hands On Deck, and an image of a cast reconstruction of the Blinding of Polyphemus. The conversation wove in and out of discussing the transformation of my fingertips (a result of rock climbing); at once, i’ve developed calluses that take the weight of my body but this thickening of skin has taken away intense sensation that once came through the tips of my fingers. Everything feels different when i touch, now.
